Get a CLUE!

Have you ever wondered how insurance companies are able to determine how many tickets and accidents you have accumulated over the years or how many property claims you have made.

It’s simple, there’s a system used by all insurance companies called CLUE. It stands for Comprehensive Loss Underwriting Exchange. The main function of this system is to archive your loss history and provide reports to insurance providers upon request.

The system is similar to those that pull your credit history reports, as it provides information on how likely you are to file a claim.

CLUE includes information on your past history such as tickets, accidents, property claims, payout amounts, incurred dates, and other factors that can determine your eligibility for insurance.

If you interested in your CLUE report, contact your local DMV and ask.
